UPDATE - The Missing Person, Derek Whorton has been located by our law enforcement partners at BART PD. Thank you for everyone's help in putting out the information about Derek. He is on his way home to his family right now.

The Hayward Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a Missing Adult At-Risk. Derek Whorton is a black male adult, 29 years, 5 feet-2 inches tall, 130 lbs., brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a black zip-up sweatshirt with an unknown design and gray sweatpants. Derek is mentally handicapped and has the mentality of a 3 year old. He was last seen in the area of Mission Blvd and Jackson Street between 2:00 and 2:15 pm. Derek is known to utilize BART and has recently discussed going to San Francisco.
