Presbyterian Church Thefts

The Woodstown Police Department is currently investigating two thefts of musical instruments, which occurred at the Woodstown Presbyterian Church. The first theft occurred on or about 12-25-15. The second theft occurred on or about 1-5-16. In total, $8,600 worth of musical equipment was stolen.

On 1-8-16, Patrolman O’Hara arrested John T. Burton, 29/W/M, 450 S. Main St., Woodstown NJ for both incidents. Burton charged with two counts of burglary and two counts of theft. Burton was lodged in the Salem County Jail in default of $10,000.00 cash bail, which was set by Judge Adams.

Patrolman O’Hara and the members of the Woodstown Police Department were assisted by the Salem County Prosecutor’s Office, Pennsville Police Department and Harrison Twsp. Police Department.
