Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Releases Smart Phone App
The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department is committed to keeping the public safe and maintaining a positive working relationship with the community. That’s why the Sheriff’s Department released its free smart phone app for both Andriod and iOS users today. The app has many features including the ability to submit a tip on a crime, inform the public when there’s an emergency situation, and list where sex offenders live within the community. “As an agency we want to continue to maximize our service to the community” said Sheriff Adam Christianson. “We know most everyone has a smart phone with them at all times, and we want them to have the ability to receive up-to-date information from us regarding criminal activity or public safety issues.” The app will also allow users to send us anonymous information on criminal activity or wanted persons.
We do want to remind our users that the new app is not for any type of emergency situation and ask that if needed for residents with an emergency to call 911. We will review all messages in a timely manner and respond as quickly as possible.
