Questions? Call the Fallbrook Sheriff's Substation at (760) 451-3100

Deputies from the Fallbrook Sheriff's Substation, as well as officers from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and North County Fire Protection District will participate in the drill.

The drill will involve sounds of gunfire to simulate where a gunman is shooting at people. Teams of deputies and officers will make their way through the campus with mock firearms, practicing how they would track down a gunman and evacuation procedures. The goal is to prepare law enforcement personnel so they know what to expect in the chaos of a real shooting scenario.

People who live or work near the school need not be concerned about the extra presence of deputies, officers, paramedics, emergency vehicles, medical helicopters, as well as the sound of gunfire because IT IS ONLY A DRILL.

There will be road signs informing the public of the training. Public notification will also be done through the Sheriff's newsletter and Twitter page.

Fallbrook High School Union District will be notifying students, faculty and staff of the drill. Classes will not be affected because the drill is being held on a Saturday.

Questions? Call the Fallbrook Sheriff's Substation at (760) 750- 451-3100.

THIS DRILL IS NOT OPEN TO THE MEDIA OR PUBLIC.
