Ceres, CA - On December 26, 2014, Derrick Farrow, 33 of Ceres was shot to death outside Runaround Sue’s Bar at 1409 Mitchell Road, following a fight that started inside the establishment. Ceres Police Detectives identified several validated gang members as being involved in the fight and subsequent murder of Farrow.

The investigation led to the issuance of four homicide arrest warrants and six search warrants for locations throughout Stanislaus County for collecting evidence linking the suspected gang members to the homicide. On the morning of January 21, 2015, the search warrants were executed and Richard Isaac Monroy, 18 and Gabriel Enrique Gallardo, 18, both of Ceres, were arrested for murder and association with a criminal street gang. Arrest warrants were issued for Eric Padilla-Sanchez 20, Luis Emeterio Martinez 20 and Jesus Prudente Ramirez all of Ceres, for murder and association with a criminal street gang. Luis Emeterio Martinez, Jesus Prudente Ramirez and Eric Sanchez-Padilla remain fugitives and are believed to have fled the area.

Investigators from the Ceres Police Department continued to work diligently on the murder of Derrick Farrow and were able to identified three additional suspects. On the morning of December 22, 2015, Edgar Alvarez, 22 of Modesto and Richard Anthony Palomares, 21 of Ceres were arrested for the murder of Derrick Farrow and associating with a criminal street gang.

A search and arrest warrant was served by the Ceres Special Weapons and Tactics Team in the 2000 block of Lunar Drive in Ceres, CA at a residence belonging to John Carlos Aguilera Jr, 21. Aguilera was arrested at the residence and booked in the Stanislaus County Jail for the murder of Derrick Farrow and associating with a criminal street gang.

The investigation is ongoing.
