Full Notification

At approximately 0730 hours, Signal Hill PD received a call of a traffic accident in the area of E. 28th Street and Cherry Avenue.  Upon arrival, it was determined that a vehicle struck an electrical pole.  There were no injuries reported in the accident, however; the electrical pole was knocked down across E. 28th Street.  The pole was connected to active electrical wires.  Southern California Edison responded immediately.

28th Street between Cherry Avenue and Rose Avenue has been closed as SCE is working on replacing the electrical pole.  The road is expected to be closed until approximately 3 PM.
