Chula Vista Police Foundation and community partners team up for holiday give away on December 15th, 7-9 am at Walmart, 1150 Broadway.

Chula Vista Police Foundation, Athlete's for Education (AFE) and Walmart will help make the holidays special by providing holiday meals for more than 500 needy South Bay families. The event will take place on Tuesday, December 15th at 7:00 - 9:00 am at Walmart located at 1150 Broadway in Chula Vista. Participating families have already been invited and provided vouchers for holiday meals.

Santa Claus will arrive in his sleigh at 7am to greet children and hand out teddy bears and candy canes. In addition, those in attendance will be able to meet San Diego Charger, Kendall Reyes #91 and retired Charger, Darren Carrington. Charger players and AFE athletes will participate along with Chula Vista Police Chief David Bejarano by handing out meals to families. Professional MMA athletes, Phil Davis and Danny Martinez from Alliance Gym will also be in attendance.

As we reflect on this holiday season, we are all thankful for what we have and what we are able to give to others. Together Chula Vista Police Department employees, AFE volunteers and Walmart employees encourage others to help those in need. Please join us as we make a difference in our community.
