FINAL UPDATE: WANTED MURDER SUSPECT - Juan Garcia
The Sheriff's Homicide Detail thanks the public for their kind assistance in this case. 50-year-old Juan Garcia's body was found at the crime scene on Tuesday, December 8th. The Medical Examiner's Office ruled Garcia's death as a suicide.

There is new information in the search for murder suspect Juan Garcia.
Sheriff's investigators say Garcia (who also uses the name "Jose Luis Paredes") was last seen on Sunday, December 6th. He was driving a stolen 2003 silver Ford Taurus SE with California License Plate number: 7NNJ796. The car was stolen from the Thunderbird Driving Range located in the 26000 block of N. Centre City Parkway in Escondido.
Garcia is wanted in connection with the December 5th shooting death of his estranged wife in unincorporated Escondido. He may be carrying a large semi-automatic handgun and should be considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS.

Take a good look at these photos of 50-year-old Juan Garcia, who also goes by the name of Jose Luis Paredes.
He is wanted in connection with the shooting death of his estranged wife, Teresa Ortiz, on Saturday, December 5th in the 3000 block of N. Broadway in an unincorporated area of Escondido.
Garcia's SUV was found abandoned near the crime scene, but he remains at large. Garcia is considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS. He is longtime resident of Escondido, but investigators say he may attempt to flee to his native country of Mexico.
Garcia is a Hispanic man standing 5'8" tall and weighing 180 pounds with brown eyes and curly, shoulder length black hair. He is clean shaven and has a small tattoo on the outside web of his right hand.
Garcia was last seen wearing a blue, long sleeve shirt, blue denim shorts, long white socks and white tennis shoes.
