On 12/05/15 at 11:56 PM, Chula Vista Police responded to a 911 call regarding someone shooting a gun in the area of 400 Telegraph Canyon Road, Chula Vista. The caller indicated that an unknown suspect just shot at her and her friend while they were sitting inside a parked car.

When Chula Vista Officers arrived they found the victims vehicle had been shot several times but no victims had been hit with gunfire. Officers then received information the shooting suspect left the area on foot.

Officers conducted a search of the area and located a suspicious vehicle that had been left parked in the middle of the street. A records check on the suspicious vehicle led officers to the suspect's residence.

The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Detectives from the Crimes of Violence Unit and Investigators from the CVPD Crime Lab responded within minutes to the scene.

Detectives are now handling the investigation and the motive for the shooting is not known. Chula Vista Police Detectives are not releasing the name of the suspect or victims at this time.
