HMPD Detectives arrest man for theft. 
On Monday, 11/23/2015, at approximately 8:00 am, Hope Mills Police Officers and Detectives were called to Jery’s Pawn Shop on North Main Street in reference to an employee who had been stealing property from the business. Further investigation revealed that over the course of several months, Philip Charles Brock, 28, of the 100 block of Green Hill Drive in Red Springs, had been stealing jewelry from the store and then reselling the jewelry to other pawn shops and individuals in the area. Brock was arrested at the scene and transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he received a $22,500 bond for the following charges:
9 counts of Felony Larceny by Employee
9 counts of Felony Possession of Stolen Goods
To date, approximately $5000.00 worth of the stolen jewelry has been recovered. This investigation is ongoing and, more charges against Brock and arrests of other involved individuals are forthcoming.
