Press Release - Assault with a deadly weapon, corporal injury to a spouse/cohabitant.
On Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:23 PM, CPD officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1200 block of Patterson Avenue regarding a possible stabbing victim. Paramedics and officers arrived and contacted the 31 year old male victim who had minor stab wounds to his neck and back.
The victim advised officers he had been assaulted near a park located in the 800 block of Brokaw Avenue. The victim advised officers the subject who assaulted him was his ex-girlfriend, identified as Valerie Molina (age 30). The victim advised he and Molina had an argument during which she stabbed with an unknown sharp object. He stated that he fled on foot back to his residence to get away from his attacker. The victim was later transported to a hospital for medical treatment and later released.
Officers were able to locate and apprehended Molina at her apartment in the 1700 block of Dairy Avenue at 1:00 AM Sunday morning (11/22/15). Molina was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and corporal injury to a spouse / cohabitant. Molina was later transported and booked at the Kings County Jail in Hanford for both charges with a total bail amount of $50,000.00.
