Media Availability – Industry Station Deputy working in La Puente Saves 7-month-old child’s life with CPR

What:                 On November 16, 2015, at 6:00PM the Industry Station desk received a 9-1-1 call from a frantic mother reporting her baby not breathing. She had pulled to the side of the road at Hacienda Boulevard north of Temple Avenue in La Puente, after she looked back and saw the baby was unresponsive.  Deputy Nava, who was patrolling the City of La Puente, received the call after it was dispatched.  Deputy Nava sprang into action and began life saving procedures. Fire Department personnel and the treating physician have credited Deputy Nava’s immediate CPR as life-saving for the baby.

Deputy Nava, the child he rescued and the mother will be available for media interviews in front of Industry Sheriff’s Station at approximately 12:30 p.m. to talk about the ordeal and how CPR helped save a 7-month-old child’s life.
