Advisory

UPDATE: 9-1-1 service for Sprint customers has been restored. Thank you for your patience.

The following message is relayed on behalf of the Teton County Sheriff's Office Dispatch / 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP)

UPDATE: Per Teton County Sheriff's Office Dispatch, 9-1-1 service should be operating normally in Teton County, WY, including Sprint cell phones. Thank you for your patience.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE: Teton County Sheriff's Office Dispatch, which is the 9-1-1 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for Teton County, WY (with the exception of Yellowstone National Park) and Bondurant, WY, has been informed by CenturyLink that they are experiencing intermittent issues with 9-1-1 service for Sprint cell phone customers.

Sprint customers could potentially get a busy signal, ringing without connection to the 9-1-1 dispatch center, or other issues when trying to call 9-1-1. This may impact text to 9-1-1 from Sprint cell phones as well.  If you have issues connecting to 9-1-1 from your Sprint cell phone in an emergency, dial 307-733-2331 instead to reach emergency dispatchers.  This number will reach the 9-1-1 dispatch center in Teton County, WY and connect you with an emergency dispatcher.

CenturyLink is working on tracking down the cause of this issue, but at this time there is no estimated time of repair.  When CenturyLink informs us that the issue is resolved, we will send a Nixle update.
