Teton County School District and the Jackson Police Department are hosting a free evening event for school district staff, parents, and emergency responders with nationally renowned speaker John-Michael Keyes, Founder of the “I Love You Guys” Foundation.
Keyes will share his personal experience of loss when the sense of safety and security of his small mountain town in Colorado was shattered when a lone gunman entered went into the local high school and held the students hostage. Keyes’ daughter lost her life that day and it changed Keyes forever.
After the loss of his daughter, Keyes started the “I Love You Guys” Foundation, which helps teach schools about the need for emergency plans and how to prepare schools for extraordinary events.
Come hear what Keyes learned from the tragic event and preparations we can make for our schools and our children. Please bring family, friends or others who would appreciate great information on the active shooter topic.
