On Saturday 11/14/2015 at 9am, the 'Turkey Trot' 5k road race will be held in Hope Mills. The race begins at 9am with the starting point being on Rockfish Road in front of the Hope Mills Town Hall. Rockfish Road will be closed to vehicular traffic beginning at 8:45am between Golfview Drive and Moulder Drive during the line-up and start of the race.

After the racers start, they will turn right onto Golfview Drive and then right onto North Main Street. The racers will then leave North Main Street and enter onto Bullard Street where they will then turn right onto Hill Street and then on accross Rockfish Road. After crossing Rockfish Road, the racers will enter into the Brightmoor/Golf Acres subdivision via Newton and Casper Streets where they will follow a circular route through the subdivision via Archer Road, Masters Drive, Crenshaw Drive, and then on to Souchak Drive, where they will then enter onto Golfview Drive. The racers will then continue on Golfview Drive until reaching Rockfish Road where they will cross over Rockfish Road and end the race in the lawn of the Hope Mills Town Hall.

While there will be road and lane closures during this event, the closures will be intermittent and designed to allow vehicular travel through the area when runners are not present. However, motorists should generally avoid the area of the road race if able between 8:45am, and 10:30am and, if in the area, expect delays.
