Narrative:
On 11/10/2015, Sheriff Narcotics Detectives concluded an investigation of an Oxnard resident, Mariano Gonzalez, who was suspected of selling cocaine to customers in Ventura County. At 5:30 AM, Sheriff and Oxnard Police detectives located Gonzalez as he was leaving his Oxnard residence. They followed Gonzalez until a Sheriff’s patrol car conducted a traffic stop and detained Gonzalez.
Detectives conducted a search of Gonzalez’s residence where they located over 4-lbs of cocaine and a large sum of money. The money was determined to be proceeds from the sales of cocaine and was seized along with the cocaine. Detectives also searched a ranch in the city of Moorpark where Gonzalez works and seized several more ounces of cocaine at the location.
Gonzalez was arrested for possession for sale of a controlled substance and was booked at the Ventura County Jail pending a court appearance or the posting of bail. Gonzalez is scheduled to appear in court on 11/13/2015, at 1:30 PM. His bail is set at $150,000.00
