THEFT ALERT - Far West Side Residents - Be aware of recent thefts from auto in your area 
Our agency has noted a pattern crime that is occurring on the far west side of Green Bay in the area of Lacount Road between W. Mason and West Point Road. In the past several days there have been at least 7 thefts of property from automobiles in this area that have been reported. It is possible that other thefts have occurred and have not been noticed or have not been reported. The thefts generally seem to be occurring during the overnight hours or early morning hours during periods of darkness.
Residents in this area are urged to call in any suspicious activities, vehicles, or people in the area, especially after dark, and to take additional proactive crime prevention steps. Residents should secure vehicles in garages if possible, lock their car doors, and be sure to remove any valuable or tempting items from their vehicles. Some of the most commonly stolen items are wallets, purses, and portable electronics such as smart phones, tablets, MP3 players, GPS units, etc.
