Narrative:
On October 28, 2014, Deputy Yevhen “Eugene” Kostiuchenko, an 11-year veteran of the Sheriff’s Office, was struck and killed while on a traffic stop on the shoulder of the 101 Freeway in the City of Camarillo. Deputy Kostiuchenko had just completed a traffic stop and was walking back to his patrol vehicle when he was struck and killed by an intoxicated driver.

In order to honor Deputy Kostiuchenko’s ultimate sacrifice, a freeway sign will be erected in his name. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office would like to invite the public to attend the Freeway Sign Dedication Ceremony on November 6, 2015 at the Camarillo Police / Sheriff Station located at 3701 E. Los Posas Rd. in the City of Camarillo. The ceremony will begin at 10:00 A.M. and should conclude by 11:00 A.M.
