The Oconee County Utility Department is reporting a water main break in the Bouldercrest Subdivision off of Hog Mountain Road.

Due to a severe water main break in the Bouldercrest Subdivision off of Hog Mountain Road, on Monday, November 02, 2015 at approximately 2:30 PM, the Oconee County Utility Department has issued a boil water advisory for all residents within this subdivision (Bouldercrest Circle, Bouldercrest Drive, Briarwood Trail, Tuxedo Lane, and Lindy Circle). As a safeguard to protect public health, all citizens who have experienced a water outage and/or low water pressure in or near the affected areas are advised to boil all water prior to use for drinking, cooking, orpreparing baby food. The water should be boiled for at least one minute after reaching a rolling boil. The Utility Department will complete the water main repair as quickly and efficiently as possible. Citizens should continue to boil their water
until they are notified by Oconee County Utility Department that the water system has been restored to full operation and that the microbiological quality of the water in the distribution system is safe for human consumption.
