SUBJECT OF RELEASE: Deputy Mike Kotenko update

On behalf of the Kotenko family and the Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office, we are happy to announce that Deputy Mike Kotenko has been released from the Hospital and will continue his recovery at home. Deputy Kotenko was shot with a crossbow in the line of duty on Friday, October 9th at approximately 11:50pm. He was assisting the Michigan State Police serving a felony arrest warrant in Cato Township. He is expected to make a full recovery. The family has asked that he be given privacy during this time of healing. They also wish to express their extreme gratitude to the public for the cards and support Mike has received.
