On October 27, 2015, at 7:01 a.m., our dispatch center received a phone call regarding a suspicious incident that occurred near the intersection of Eastgate and Helen Perry. Through investigation we learned that a 12 year old female student of Cesar Chavez middle school was groped while walking to a friend’s house prior to school.

During this assault, the female student was able to kick the suspect, break away from him and run away to safety. The suspect fled the area on foot. Patrol officers searched the area for the suspect and were unable to locate him. The suspect is described as a dark skinned Hispanic male adult, 5’11, dark colored beard, wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt, black sweat pants in his mid to late 20’s.

The Ceres Unified School District sent an alert to all schools in the district and is working closely with investigators on this incident.
