Barstow - Missing Child located, parents arrested for Child Endangerment

INCIDENT: Missing Child/Child Endangerment
LOCATION: Utah Drive, Newberry Springs
SUSPECT(S): Roger Vieiera, age 51, Newberry Springs resident.
Jessica Blake, age 27, Newberry Springs resident.
VICTIM(S): 2 year old male juvenile.
SUMMARY: On Saturday, October 24, 2015, at approximately 6:52 p.m., deputies from the Barstow Sheriff's Station responded to a residence in the 39000 block of Utah Drive in Newberry Springs for a 2 year old Missing Juvenile, who was last seen playing in his yard with the family pet. The child was missing for approximately two hours before the Sheriff's department was notified.
Two helicopters, several Search & Rescue teams, five seach dogs and deputies combed the area throughout the night. The child was located Sunday morning at 7:19 a.m., walking next to National Trails in good health. An investigation into the childs living conditions and circumstances leading up to his disappearance was conducted by Barstow Sheriff's Detectives.
The child's parents, Roger Vieiera and Jessica Blake were arrested and booked for PC 273a Child Endangerment. The Juvenile was transported to Barstow Community Hospital for a medical check up before being released to Child Family Services.
