National Red Ribbon Week 30th Anniversary
Friday, October 23 through Saturday, October 31, marks the 30th anniversary of National Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is an alcohol, tobacco and other drug and violence prevention awareness campaign observed annually. Red Ribbon Week also honors the service and sacrifice of DEA agent Enrique “Kiki” Camarena. In observance of this event, the Ripon Police Department is partnering with the Ripon Unified School District, and the Ripon Lions Club to promote drug and violence awareness in our community.
