*UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Detectives Investigate Stabbing Death of a Man, 37600 Blk Scomar St, Palmdale

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives responded to the 37600 block Scomar Street, Palmdale, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a man.

Detectives have learned that Palmdale Station personnel responded to the location regarding a “assault with deadly weapon” call.  When deputies arrived they found that the victim and suspect were both attending a family gathering at the residence.  They stepped outside and an argument ensued followed by a physical fight.  During the struggle the suspect produced a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times.  The victim went back into the residence where family members called for emergency medical assistance.

The 28-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect , 29-year-old Angel Garcia, remained at the scene and was arrested by Palmdale Station personnel. He was transported to Palmdale Station where he was booked on a charge of Murder.  His bail is set at one-million dollars.

NARRATIVE:               

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are responding to the 37600 block of Scomar Street, Palmdale, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of man. The incident occurred shortly before 7:58 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2015.

The victim, a male Hispanic adult, was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
