Arrest Made After Stolen Items From A Burgalry Were Found In A Neighbors House

On 10-07-15, WFPD Patrol Officers were dispatched to the 1200 Blk of Kenley in reference to a Burglary of a Habitation. The victims came home from work and found that their back door had been kicked in and several items were missing. While the victims were outside discussing what they had found, a neighbor, Daniel Walker, came over. When Walker overheard the victims talking about calling the police and having the residence fingerprinted, he told them that he thought someone had broken into his house as well and their property may be inside his residence. Walker told them that they could have their property back so the police were not necessary. The victims chose to wait for police anyway and Walker walked off. While officers were on scene, Walker returned and again said that their property may be inside of his house. Ultimately, the victims' property was found in Walker's house and recovered. Further investigation led to the arrest of Walker for the burglary and he was taken to jail. He also had an outstanding warrant for Theft of Service.
