Neighborhood Watch Hosts Community Meeting Oct. 13th, 7-8:30pm @ Joslyn Center. Re: Disaster Response/Crime Update
On Tuesday, October 13, 2015, Manhattan Beach Neighborhood Watch (MBNW) will host a community meeting regarding disaster response and residential crime. Speakers will include, Manhattan Beach Police Department Chief of Police Eve R. Irvine, Manhattan Beach Fire Department Battalion Chief Scott Hafdell, as well as, Neighborhood Watch Director Charlotte Lesser.
During the meeting, residents will learn simple steps to prepare/respond to a disaster, hear about free training opportunities for first aid/CPR and get helpful crime prevention tips and the latest crime trends.
Residents, who have an interest in learning more about Manhattan Beach Neighborhood Watch and how to join with hundreds of others in the prevention of crime, are welcomed and encouraged to attend. For over 30 years, MBNW has worked tirelessly to involve the community in home/personal safety education, deterring crime and looking out for one another. A volunteer Block Captain is essential to the continued success of MBNW and communication between the residents and police department.
