The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) arrested 18 defendants after an extensive investigation into gun and drug activity in the Antelope Valley area of Los Angeles County.

The multi-agency investigation involving the ATF, LASD and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) began in 2012. More than 50 undercover operations were conducted during the investigation. Law enforcement purchased or seized approximately 1 pound of crack cocaine, approximately 1 pound of methamphetamine, over 500 ecstasy pills and 35 firearms. 7 of the 35 seized firearms were found to be weapons defined under the National Firearms Act (NFA). One additional firearm and narcotics were recovered in today’s enforcement activity.

A total of 26 individuals have been indicted in this case. The allegations include Possession of a NFA Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Dealing Firearms without a license and possession with Intent to distribute narcotics. The defendants face a range of sentences of 5 years to life in prison.
