Open House to include Safety and Emergency Preparedness Fair

Fontana, California- The Fontana Police Department will be opening its doors to the public for station tours, K-9 demonstrations, Halloween safety workshops, a pet/owner costume contest and much more on Saturday, October 10, 2015, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Join the Fontana Police Department for a fun-filled morning with station tours, safety resources, hourly demonstrations, displays and giveaways on Saturday, October 10, 2015. The first 25 people to show up for the 9:00 a.m. station tour will have an opportunity to take pictures with a K-9 officer. In addition, you and your pet can enter a costume contest and pet parade starting at 10:45 a.m. Categories for the contest will include: small, medium, large dog and best pet/owner costume combination.

Station tours will begin every half hour starting at 9:00 a.m., and there will also be Halloween safety workshops, bike, motorcycle and K-9 demonstrations throughout the day. The Open House will feature a Healthy Pet Expo with resources for pets, a low-cost vaccine clinic as well as an opportunity to participate in a pet costume contest and pet parade.

The Fontana Police Department is located at 17005 Upland Ave. All the displays and demonstrations will be taking place behind the station on Seville Ave.

The Fontana Police Department Open House is taking place in conjunction with the Let's Move on the Trail, Fontana community event that promotes healthy lifestyles.
