On Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at approximately 11:00am, a Hope Mills Police Officer stopped a 1994 Oldsmobile for displaying an expired registration plate. During the course of the traffic stop, the Officer became aware that a passenger in the car, James Blanton Ware, 19, of the 3900 block of Goodhope Lane, Hope Mills, was wanted on outstanding warrants for 1st Degree Rape and 2nd Degree Kidnapping. Upon learning that Ware was wanted, the Officer took Ware into custody and transported him to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he was jailed under a $500,000.00 bond.
