Hurricane Joaquin

Now is the time to prepare for the storm. Please visit www.rosenet.org for information on storm preparedness, storm safety and the latest storm-related updates from the Borough.

Here are some storm prep suggestions:

- Top off your vehicles with gasoline and have extra fuel on hand for a generator, if applicable.

- Charge electronics and mobile phones in case of a power outage.

- Secure items outside of your home in case of heavy winds.

We suggest you have the following items on hand:

- Water. One gallon of water per person per day for at least three days.

- Food. At least a three-day supply of non-perishable food.

- A battery-powered or hand crank radio and a NOAA Weather Radio with tone alert and extra batteries.

- Flashlights with extra batteries.

- A first aid kit.

- Prescription medications, diapers and baby formula, if applicable.

- Cash.

Residents interested in becoming citizen volunteers and helping with emergency operations should contact Erika Cruz at [email protected].

Reporting Power Outages

During this storm event, residents are encouraged to report power outages by emailing [email protected] with your street address in the subject line and phone number in the body of the email. This email account will be monitored 24/7 during the storm event. Emailing your outage information to us will help limit the call activity to the Police Dispatch desk.
