Annoying / Harassing a Juvenile

On Tuesday September 29th, 2015, officers from the Temecula Police Department responded to a report of an unknown subject possibly annoying / harassing a female juvenile near Margarita Middle School on Margarita Road, in the city of Temecula. The incident was reported to have occurred on Monday September 28th, 2015, around 2:50 P.M., as the female juvenile (age 11) was walking away from the school.

As the girl was walking on Margarita Road, she reportedly walked past an older, gray, pickup truck, parked along the curb. The lone male occupant asked the girl a question, which she ignored. The driver may have exited the vehicle and approached the girl on foot or attempted to grab ahold of the girl causing her to run away from the subject. The incident was reported to the Temecula Police Department this morning and our investigation is active and ongoing. The Riverside County Sheriff's Forensics Unit was called in order to create a composite drawing of the suspect that will be released to the public in an update to this press release.

The victim described the suspect vehicle as:
An older gray boxy pickup truck vehicle.

The suspect was described as:
A white male adult, 30 years of age, 5'06, 200 lbs., brown hair, brown goatee, LA Dodgers baseball cap with a white bill, blue sports jersey shirt and khaki long shorts (past his knees).

The Temecula Police Department is working closely with school administrators from the Margarita Middle School concerning this incident and we are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Temecula Police Department at 951-696-3000. The Temecula Police Department would like to remind parents to talk with their children about strangers and to encourage their children to walk home with other friends or parents from school.
