Sexual assault in the Ford City area of Taft. Suspect still at large

On September 24, 2015, at about 1:20 am Kern County Sheriff’s deputies from the Taft Substation were dispatched to a report of an adult female victim who said she had been the victim of a sexual assault.

 
The victim reported she had been physically attacked and sexually assaulted as she was walking through a park in the Ford City area.  The victim described her attacker as being a Hispanic male, between thirty-five and forty years old, and of average build. She further described him as being between 5’-6” and 5’-10” tall, with a goatee and mustache.  The suspect wore a white T-shirt, and had a facial tattoo.  She described the tattoo as being an unknown word that possibly started with the letter “F,” located under his left eye.
 
The victim sustained minor injuries during the attack, and was treated and released from San Joaquin Hospital.  The suspect is still at large at this time.
