The cause of death for the Hispanic male who was pronounced dead on September 22, 2015 at a local hospital, remains undetermined and it is unknown at this time if the injuries he sustained from a June 24, 2015 incident led to his death.

The cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles Department of Medical Examiner – Coroner’s office, and has not been determined as previously stated in earlier press release.      

The investigation is still on-going, and there is no additional information at this time.

NARRATIVE:

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide detectives are responding to a local hospital to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a man that resulted from injuries sustained from an assault which occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

The victim, a male Hispanic adult, checked himself into a local hospital on Monday, September 21, 2015. On Tuesday, September 22, 2015, shortly after 9:17 AM, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office determined the victim’s death was caused by injuries sustained from an assault that occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, in the 44000 block of Shad Street, Lancaster.

There is no further information available at this time.
