Main Street / Maple Avenue / Whippoorwill Road East Intersection Work Continues 09/24 & 09/25 
On Thursday, September 24, and Friday, September 25, contractors will continue working on the improvements to the intersection of Main Street (Route 128), Whippoorwill Road East and Maple Avenue. This work consists of installing curbs, sidewalks and new traffic sensor loops, all of which have been designed to improve pedestrian and vehicular safety at this busy intersection.
There will be traffic congestion, delays and periodic roadway closures while this work is being performed. We ask that you use caution when traveling in this area. Please pay attention to the personnel performing traffic direction and control.
The result of this work will be a very modern and effective traffic signal, which will now include pedestrian crosswalk signals, that has been designed to improve the safety for pedestrians and motorists.
