Narrative:
On the afternoon of Friday, September 18th, detectives with the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau received information of a dead body in the Santa Clara Riverbed west of Oxnard. Detectives responded and searched the area. Due to poor lighting conditions, investigators had to secure the area and return the next morning. On Saturday, investigators located and recovered a set of human remains. As of the writing of this release, the body remains unidentified.
