Narrative:

On September 18th, 2015, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office arrested a suspect involved in burglaries and thefts occurring in the City of Thousand Oaks.

On September 18th, 2015, Thousand Oaks Police patrol officers responded to a residence in the City of Thousand Oaks reference a residential burglary that occurred the night before. During their initial on-scene investigation, patrol officers were able to positively identify a suspect in this burglary. Patrol deputies contacted investigators with the Thousand Oaks Police Investigations Bureau and provided this information to detectives. Within a short amount of time, patrol deputies located and detained the suspect, identified as Brandon Stein. Investigators were also aware Stein was a suspect in a recent forgery and theft that occurred in August of 2015. During a search of Stein, stolen property was located on his person. Investigators subsequently searched Stein’s residence and located additional stolen property that linked him to other burglaries and thefts occurring within the City of Thousand Oaks. In addition, an amount of methamphetamine was located on Stein during his arrest. As a result of this investigation, Stein was arrested and booked into Ventura County Jail for 459 PC / Burglary, 470 PC / Forgery, 487(a) PC / Grand Theft , and 113377 (A) HS / Possession of methamphetamine

There was additional stolen property located during this investigation and investigators will continue to attempt to locate additional burglary and theft victims. This investigation will continue in an effort to return the stolen property to the victims and identify any other suspect (s) involved in criminal activity in Thousand Oaks.
