Narrative:
On September 11th 2015, police officers assigned to the Thousand Oaks Police Department responded to Mobil Gas, located at 445 N. Ventu Park Road, regarding a robbery that had just occurred in the convenient mart of the gas station.

The suspect entered the store, approached the front counter with his hands in his front sweatshirt pocket, and told the clerk he had a gun. The suspect demanded money from the clerk and was handed an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect fled the location on foot.

On September 15, 2015, Thousand Oaks officers responded to 711 Gas, located at 609 Rancho Conejo Boulevard, regarding an additional robbery involving the same suspect from Mobil Gas four days prior. The suspect approached the front counter of the convenient store and demanded money from both cash registers. No weapon was used during the robbery, however, the store clerk noticed a bulge in the suspect’s waistband and believed he was armed with a handgun. As the clerk was handing the suspect money from one of the registers, a customer exited the store’s restroom, which frightened the suspect. The suspect left the location on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was described as an African American male, 40-55 years old, approximately 5'10" and 220 lbs. He had a mustache and goatee, black hair and was wearing jeans and a dark blue sweatshirt with the hood over his head. The suspect wore the same blue-hooded sweatshirt during both reported robberies.

The store clerks were not injured during the robberies and the suspect is still outstanding. The Thousand Oaks Police Department requests that no member of the public approach this suspect if he is located and to immediately call 9-1-1 for the assistance of law enforcement. Anyone with information about these robberies or the identification of this suspect is encouraged to contact Detective Hutton immediately at (805) 947-8113.
