On 09/11/15 at 10:10 PM, Chula Vista Police responded to 911 calls from an apartment complex located at 1441 Santa Lucia, Chula Vista. The caller indicated that there was a stabbing occurring in the apartment complex and there was a male subject bleeding on the ground. When Chula Vista Officers arrived at the apartment complex they found a male bleeding from multiple stab wounds. The victim received immediate medical attention and was transported to Scripps Mercy Hospital with serious injuries.

Officers then received information that the stabbing suspect left the apartment complex on foot. Officers conducted a search of the area and located the suspect who was covered in blood. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. Detectives from the Crimes of Violence Unit and Investigators from the Crime Lab responded within minutes to the scene. Detectives are now handling the investigation and the motive for the stabbing is not known. Chula Vista Police Detectives are not releasing the name of the suspect or victim at this time.
