The Caddo County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance in a double homicide case that occurred in Gracemont Wednesday evening. When investigative and crime scene agents arrived on the scene, they found two victims dead of apparent gunshot wounds lying on the ground outside of their home at 116 S. 2nd Street. The victims’ neighbor D’Veric Jessie (d.o.b. 11-13-1977) was questioned about the shooting and then arrested on two counts of first degree murder and one count of possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction. He is currently in the Caddo Co. jail. A mug shot should be released soon. The female victim is identified as Kayla Lynn Sue Martin. Her date of birth needs to be verified before release. Her two young children where inside the home when the shooting occurred. They were not injured and are now in the care of family members. The male victim has not yet been positively identified.
