Body frecoveres in water near boat of missing person docked on Angel Island Identified as missing San Francisco resident Wouter Van Lier.

Earlier today members of the Marin County Sheriff's Dive Team located and recovered the body of missing San Francisco resident Wouter Van Lier, 42 years old. Mr. Van Lier was reported missing early Sunday morning by his wife and friends. Search & Rescue Teams members of the Marin County Sheriff's Office along with personnel of the Southern Marin Fire District, Mill Valley Fire Department, Tiburon Police And the Marin County Sheriff's Office have been actively searching the island and waters off Angel Island. This morning, members of the Sheriff's Dive Team using a submersible Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) located Van Lier's body underwater a short distance away from the boat he was last seen aboard early Sunday morning. Dive Team members were able to recover the body where it was then turned over to Sheriff's Coroners Investigators. The Marin Sheriff's Corner's Office investigators are continuing their investigation into determine the cause and manner of Van Lier's death but final tests results could take up to 6-8 weeks for final results. The Sheriff's Office extends our thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of Mr. Van Lier.
