#LASD Homicide Shooting Death Investigation,
200 Block East Avenue R-3, Palmdale
Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the shooting death of a man at the 200 block of East Avenue R-3, Palmdale.
Detectives have learned that Palmdale deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon, gunshot victim call at the location. When they arrived, they found the victim, 40-year-old James McQuater, lying on the street across from the residence, suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The suspect, McQuater’s wife, was arrested at the scene without incident. 37-year-old Angelique Spurlock was transported to Palmdale Sheriff’s Station, where she was booked for Murder and is being held in lieu of 1 million dollars.
The murder weapon was recovered at the location.
