Dove season opens on Saturday at noon. As long as hunters are following all of the rules and regulations set by the state, they are engaged in a legal activity. Gunfire is an artifact of that activity. Your not liking gunfire is not a legally sufficient reason for us to make people stop a legal activity.

Hunters, please be mindful of those low birds.

Also, UGA football opens tomorrow. Expect all of the major roadways to be packed with traffic.
