On August 9, 2015, at about 12:30 am Howard Burley III was shot and killed in the 3800 block of Fernwood Street in Rosamond, CA. Burley was shot multiple times while in his vehicle. The suspect vehicle was described as a white, late 1990's, compact vehicle. The circumstances preceding the shooting are unknown and the weapon is still outstanding.
Further investigation revealed Burley may have been in the company of Angelia Wilkerson the previous evening. The Kern County Sheriff's Office has identified Wilkerson as a person of interest and she is wanted for questioning. The Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's assistance in locating Wilkerson.
