Valdez Police arrest Joshua A. Tucker, John E. Gladmon, and Dane S. Dellos on drug trafficking charges

Valdez, AK – Valdez Police Department officers arrested three individuals last week in connection with a multi-jurisdictional drug trafficking operation.

On Wednesday evening, VPD officers arrested 23 year old Joshua Alexander Tucker of Valdez on three counts of felony misconduct involving a controlled substance. Following the execution of a search warrant on his room at a local hotel, police seized over five grams of methamphetamine prepackaged into 19 small plastic bags. Additionally, officers discovered Xanax, Clonazepam, measuring and cutting instruments, a grinder, small plastic baggies, and cash in a hard plastic carrying case. Tucker remains in Valdez Regional Jail awaiting trial. His bail is set at $7,500.

VPD officers also arrested two of Tucker’s known drug associates Friday after police located them hiding in a local Valdez residence. Officers contacted and subsequently arrested 24 year old John Everett Gladmon of Anchorage on an active felony probation violation warrant. Gladmon has three prior felony criminal convictions for misconduct involving a controlled substance within the past year.

Following Gladmon’s arrest, officers observed illegal drugs and a weapon in the residence and executed a search warrant. The investigation uncovered over 24 grams of methamphetamine in addition to three digital scales, cash, drug paraphernalia, and a set of brass knuckles.

Police charged Gladmon with two felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance and one count of misdemeanor misconduct involving a weapon.  Twenty-four year old Dane Skyler Dellos of Anchorage was also arrested on two felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance. Both men remain in the Valdez Regional Jail awaiting trial. Bail is set at $15,000 and $10,000, respectively.

Methamphetamine carries a street value of approximately $100 per 1/10th of a gram. Additional unidentified white powder substances found at both locations were sent to the Alaska State Crime Lab for identification.

The case remains under investigation. Additional charges for all three men are expected.
