OSBI Agents Assist Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Office with Homicide 
Thursday evening, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office requested OSBI assistance with a missing person case. A ranch owner went to the home of one of his employees located in the middle of the ranch near Ryan and found a possible crime scene inside the house. This morning, that man’s body was found several hundred yards from the house. Due to the condition of the body, Fernando Hernandez, 27, is considered a homicide victim. OSBI agents are working with Jefferson County sheriff’s detectives to identify possible suspects as the medical examiner’s office works to determine the cause and manner of death.
