Ceres, CA – On August 25, 2015, at 10:03 AM, a Ceres Resident riding his bicycle along the canal bank of 2100 block of Hatch Rd found a lifeless body submerged in the water. The Ceres Fire Department and the Ceres Police Department responded to the scene. The body of a male in his late 50’s was recovered. The police department is investigating this matter to determine the man’s identity, the cause of death and the reason why his body was in the canal. The Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office took custody of the body and will conduct an autopsy in the near future. There are no further details at this time related to this incident.
