Narrative:
At approximately 9:05 am this morning, a pedestrian was crossing the street from La Paloma Circle to the northbound sidewalk of Avenida de Los Arboles. As the pedestrian was walking across the eastbound lane of Avenida de Los Arboles, he was struck by a vehicle traveling eastbound on Avenida de Los Arboles. The pedestrian was immediately provided first aid at the scene, but succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle and her juvenile passenger were not injured.

The cause of the collision is currently under investigation by the Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Traffic Bureau. Anyone who may have pertinent information regarding the incident is asked to call the Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Traffic Bureau at (805) 494-8271.

As a reminder, Thousand Oaks public schools begin on Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Drivers, please be aware of heavy pedestrian traffic around school zones. And pedestrians, please be mindful of vehicles on the roadway.
