SHOOTING SUSPECT ARRESTED:
On 06-09-15, Ripon Police Department detectives began an investigation regarding a shooting that occurred near the downtown area in Ripon. The victim received serious, non-life threatening injuries.
On 08-21-15, detectives with Ripon’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) served search and arrest warrants at a residence in Riverbank. During the warrant service detectives arrested a suspect in the shooting. Donovyn Hooper George (30) of Riverbank was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on multiple felony charges.
Ripon detectives are not releasing any further information regarding this case, due to the fact that this is an ongoing investigation.
