AISD Employee Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography

On August 5, 2015, the Arlington Police Department responded to the Arlington Independent School District (AISD) Administration Building in reference to a thumb drive that was found after a recent meeting. In the interest of trying to locate the owner of the thumb drive, another AISD employee viewed the contents of the thumb drive and located what was believed to be pornographic images of children. Arlington Officers collected the thumb drive as evidence and identified the suspect as George Spencer McKee, 56, of Arlington. Through their investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant and executed it at his residence earlier this morning. He was charged with possession of child pornography with bail set at $5,000 and remains in the Arlington Jail.

Mr. McKee was employed by AISD as a Campus Technology Manager at Boles Junior High since May 20, 2014. He also served in various roles with the Boy Scouts of America. While still in the early stages of the investigation, we don’t have any information that leads us to believe at this point that any of the images found on the thumb drive portray current AISD students or children that he may have come into contact through his employment at Boles Jr. High or his association with Boy Scouts of America. We are reaching out to the community to see if there are any potential victims who may have had inappropriate contact with Mr. McKee. Anyone with information is urged to contact Arlington Police Detective G. Savage with the Child Sexual Predator Task Force at 817-795-9992 Ext. 146.

Both the Arlington Independent School District and Boy Scouts of America are cooperating with investigators. His mug shot has been attached.
