*2nd UPDATE* #LASD Homicide Assisting El Monte PD, Stabbing Death Investigation, 3400 blk of Belcroft Ave, El Monte
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Detectives have arrested David Garcia, 20, of El Monte, in connection to the stabbing death of a man, on the 3400 block of Belcroft Avenue, El Monte.
Suspect Garcia was booked at El Monte Police Station for murder and will be held in lieu of a one-million dollars bail.
No booking photo will be released at this time.
The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The connection between the victim and the Suspect Garcia is still under investigation. There is no further information.

Initial Update
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives responded to the 3400 block of Belcroft Avenue, El Monte, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a male adult on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at approximately 8:40 p.m.
When homicide detectives arrived, they learned the victim was confronted by the suspect, and a minor verbal altercation ensued. The suspect then stabbed the victim, and fled the scene.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
El Monte Police Department personnel are currently detaining a possible suspect at their station.
The investigation is still ongoing.
